The Albany Research Center (ARC) in Oregon's Willamette Valley has long served the public through its pioneering work on specialty alloys under the U.S. Bureau of Mines. Now a part of the National Energy Technology Laboratory under the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), it continues to work on solutions to the nation's fossil fuel energy challenges through improvements in materials, power generation, and geospatial information systems.
